⭐ Cultural Quarter Weekly Round-Up ⭐ It's been another busy week for your Cultural Quarter Team! 👇 🚗 Operation Streetwise Enforcement Officers were out on Granby Street tackling anti-social behaviour involving vehicles, resulting in: ✅ 2 cars seized 👮🏻 Wanted Male Arrested PC Proctor and PCSO Brad stopped an e-bike rider after concerns the bike may have been illegal. Whilst the bike was found to be legal, further checks revealed the rider was wanted for false imprisonment. He has since been remanded into custody until his court appearance. 🚗 Drug Driving Concerns During Operation Streetwise, officers stopped a driver who was seen inhaling from a balloon whilst driving. A subsequent search uncovered nitrous oxide and cannabis. 📷 Supporting Regional Investigations PCSO Rich joined colleagues from the Riverside Beat Team to assist EMSOU with ongoing investigations. 🚙 Uninsured Moped Seized Whilst dealing with an uninsured vehicle on Charles Street, PC Proctor and PCSO Brad spotted a moped undertaking traffic. After stopping the rider, checks revealed they did not have the correct insurance and the moped was seized. 👮 Neighbourhood Patrols & Intelligence Gathering PCSO Dan and PCSO 6571 conducted patrols around New Walk and gathered intelligence relating to a property suspected of involvement in drug-related activity. 🎉 GCSE Results Celebrations PCSO Becs was out on Granby Street engaging with students celebrating their GCSE results. It was fantastic to see so many young people enjoying themselves safely and responsibly. 🚔 City Centre Partnership Working PC Wilson and PC Carpenter assisted the City Beat Team on Belgrave Gate, where two males were arrested for immigration offences and weapons were seized. 👮 Reassurance Patrols PCSO Dan and PCSO Brad have also been carrying out reassurance patrols on Narborough Road and the surrounding area, speaking with residents and providing a visible presence in the community. 👏 Thank you to everyone who continues to engage with and support your local neighbourhood officers.
